Week 1 – Artist – (Best Ever Food Review Show) & (CAM T|IEN TV)

My favorite show on youtube is usually watching people eating their favorite foods. I really like to discover a new place to eat. It was really exciting to taste a new dish, or try out a new restaurant. As a Vietnamese myself, I enjoy and proud of Vietnamese cuisine. Have you ever tried Pho ? That was one of most popular noodle soup. Best Ever Food Review Show was hosted by Sonny and his screw team who were mostly Vietnamese. Sonny was an American but now call Vietnam as a home. I was firstly impressed by him to try out different Vietnamese dishes which not many people can try, such as snails, snakes, and many other dishes. While CAM TIEN TV was local Vietnamese food blogger, she was firstly opening her small restaurant by herself. After that, she immigrated to Switzerland and still continue posting videos about her daily life in a new country. These two bloggers are also started at the food blogger. However, Best Ever Food Review Show was more popular with more than 8 million subscribers, while Cam Tien only has less than 60K subscribers.  Best Ever Food Review Show was the older channel, and all videos of Sonny- the host of the show are English which is more popular language than Cam Tien TV which is only focusing on Vietnamese. Sonny brought more interesting videos with not only about different cuisines but different cultures. He and his screws travel different part of the world, and each time they digged deeply into the culture and the most popular and unique dish of each culture. They reflected every culture through their foods and the way the chief made the foods. While Cam Tien TV mostly focus on Vietnamese restaurants, and sometimes her travel life. " Best Ever Food Review Show" was not only food blogger review, but it was completely a show with many people behind to edit the video with nice and funny script. The whole team was working real hard to ensure every time that the videos put on were interesting and professionally bringing different types of cuisines closer to every audiences. If I have ever thought to become a youtuber, I would choose Best Ever Food Review Show as a role model. Because I really like how the video were put professionally, and goal of youtuber was not only a blogger but a performer or an artist.

Week 12 – Public Art

  My concept was to know what family members think about me when living together ? What things I did was sometimes annoyed them that they did not tell me.  I got a paper and asked them to write a sentence to describe something they hate about me. I think this strategy as the most simple and easily keep them engaged in my assignment without a proper explanation.  As I predicted, all the sentences from my mother, my brother, and my dad were straight forward. It was for certain they had endured me for a long period of time of some of my bad habits. The insight was I knew I had some bad habit living at house, but as one of the family member, I think they did love me so much for enduring it all the time. :)

Week 10 – Artist – Joseph DeLappe & Micol Hebron

Joseph DeLappe is the professor of Games and Tactical Media at Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland. His work has been focusing on electronic and new media since 1983. His works also includes a variety of online gaming performance, sculpture and electromechanical installation have been shown throughout in the United States and abroad - including exhibition and performances in Australia, the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Mexico, Italy, Peru, Sweden and Canada.  Micol Hebron is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice includes studio work, curating, writing, social media, crowd-sourcing, teaching, public-speaking, and both individual and collaborative project. She was also an Art professor at Chapman University.
